So I decided to see what they had to offer, watched a recording of one of their recent webinars and a couple of other videos. The webinar in particular was actually pretty interesting and has some good solid info included both verifying the identity of the creator, James, and showing his system, as well as showing us that he has a pretty sound knowledge of trading.

I also found it interesting that they don’t have a ‘sales’ page, these guys don’t let just anyone join. You have to chat with James to determine if the system is suitable for you.

By this point I was pretty intrigued to see the actual product, which is a combination of:

• Software which works as an add on to MT4 and contains the currency strength indicators / currency info.
• A lengthy trading course.
• Follow up with James after you complete studying the course ,plus a guarantee of 20 hours extra tuition if you are not profitable within 12 months.

As you might have guessed by now, I was pretty impressed with what i came across. It’s not often that a new forex product would grip my attention for more than 30 minutes, let alone the very many hours this product has taken me to read and begin trading with! So here are my thoughts:

The course is extremely lengthy. I read fast, and i was proficient with perhaps 90%+ of the subject matter so was able to skim read, yet it took me a solid two days of reading. James told me it would take me a week, I guess he didn’t think i’d spend this many hours a day reading or read quickly, but you get the idea.

This might not be the best fit if you are extremely new to trading, unless you are willing to plough through material which you may find a little challenging and are patient enough to work through it. Anyone doing this course would benefit from having traded at least a little in the past, there is a lot to be gained from this course with comparing its contents with trading styles you may have tried in the past – not sure if this makes sense here but anyone doing the course will understand what i mean.

I’d also recommend caution for people who don’t have English as their first language and who might be struggling to read my review, the course is very lengthy and ‘wordy’, if you struggle to keep up with this review then you will probably struggle with the course.

The course itself is extremely comprehensive. Being impatient and thinking i knew it all (haha) i rushed straight to the section labelled “trading system”. I felt i didn’t need to read topics labelled “Forex knowledge”, “the Forex marketplace”, “brokers & dealers” etc. I was quite wrong, as all these topics set the context for the strategy and without understanding the context you cannot trade this strategy effectively. Even if you have been trading for quite some time, as i have, you will find valuable nuggets of information buried in these seemingly simple subject headings, and i found some of the info i came across directly challenged my own beliefs surrounding the currency market.

James has an excellent section about how dealers work which really put things into perspective for me and has permanently changed some of the views i had surrounding brokers… and that is saying something for someone so ingrained in their ways after all these years.

James teaches us the value and necessity behind trading “currencies” as opposed to “pairs”, a real eye opener for any trader who has only ever traded specific currency pairs. He teaches us how to read currency strength and how when you combine strength in one pair with weakness in another – that it drives market movements, and how and why this happens.

For anyone that has never viewed currencies in this manner it will be quite an enlightening experience. His currency strength software is very professionally put together and you can tell it is a very polished product, we are not here as beta-testers, the software works smoothly and is central to the whole strategy.

The strategy itself has very clear rules. There is an element of ‘discretion’ in that you are required to read the data that the software is printing on your screen and make a decision about whether to trade or not, but again this is all explained in quite some detail and James has included some helpful videos of his trading showing us how he trades with the software. There is quite a steep learning curve to the software, the first time i tried trading with it was nothing short of disastrous, but after a couple of days of solid trading and watching the interactions between currency pairs and the software the more clear it becomes about how to trade.

The strategy comes with an indicator which suggests a stop loss location to you, as well as giving you lot sizes for your trade (we are advised to trade at the magical 1% risk level). Take profit points are variable because of the nature of the strategy, but can be very large, with stop losses that trail price upwards (or downwards) in a manner that many times means your 1% risk is quickly reduced to 0.5% or less.

At the end of the course there is a recommended 6 stages to follow to become proficient with trading. Each stage has clear cut goals you must achieve before moving on to the next one, and breaks the whole trading experience down into manageable chunks. It is a process i am finding helpful working through even as a more experienced trader as it is really helping me get to grips with the strategy.

The stages take you from the basics of spotting profitable entry points through to gaining a profitable demo account and then on to a live account incorporating all aspects of the strategy. For most people I’d think it will take a good few months to work through these, and would suggest actually doing it rather than skipping it if you want to get the most out of the strategy.

After putting in the hours with this system over the past week (literally 12+ hours a day), I’m at a point where things are starting to look really good. It had me worried for a while that i just couldn’t read the indicators properly but now something has finally clicked and my results are improving every day, getting more accurate with my entries and seeing my trades go into good profit instead of getting in at the end of moves which i was doing before.

My conclusion:

With some Forex systems we say that effort in = results out, and nowhere is this more true than with this system. As I said above, the learning curve is steep and the whole course is very active and ‘involved’, if you are looking for something which can overhaul your whole approach to the markets (if you are currently trading based on technical or fundamental analysis), then this is the one to get. But you HAVE TO be willing and able to dedicate yourself to studying it and following through with the recommended exercises, after trying to skim read it i got not very much from it, it was only when allowing myself to get absorbed fully that i began to see the value here.

It is also valuable in that it is 100% comprehensive, everything is here from risk management to how the markets work, to brokers and dealers, the strategy, to how to write a Forex business plan, how to be successful, all written in an interesting way which even some experienced..

The support you get from James is second to none and he has a very deep and thorough understanding of the subject matter. There is a refund guarantee on the product but it is very short at around 7 days (going from memory here), and i wouldn’t suggest anyone getting into this unless they are really sure, go to the webinars and ask the questions you want to ask so that you are really sure before taking the plunge and submitting an application to buy it, it is an expensive course and you do need to be somewhat dedicated to trading to work your way through it all and follow the plan.
